Woodworkers needed in Hobart area. High-end furniture design/architectural design company seeking highly skilled and motivated cabinet maker/furniture fabricator/woodworker. Looking for a strong team player with a positive attitude who is focused, disciplined and willing to do whatever necessary to get the job done well and on time.
Candidate must have 2+ years experience in woodworking and fabrication. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
1. The ability to read and interpret blueprints/shop drawings, compile material cut and hardware list.
2. The ability to efficiently and accurately shape and assemble components from information contained in the shop drawings as well as personal experience.
3. Must have a thorough knowledge of all woodworking processes including, but not limited to: cutting, sanding, laminating, painting and hardware installation.
4. Must have knowledge and ability to safely use power tools and other shop equipment.
5. Must possess excellent organizational skills, retention for instructions, procedures, and the ability to work from drawings and cut lists with little supervision.
6. Must be self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities, good judgement, clear communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
7. Must be responsible, honest, and hardworking.
8. The ability to work quickly, efficiently, and produce work of highest quality.
9. The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. Must enjoy working within a team environment.
11. Advanced skills in the following areas are a plus but not a requirement:
ÃÂ Metal fabrication
ÃÂ Welding
ÃÂ Acrylic fabrication
ÃÂ Solid surface fabrication
ÃÂ Upholstery
ÃÂ Field experience including installations
ÃÂ CNC programming and other computer sketching software knowledge is definitely a plus
