NY1339747Manufacturing Analyst InternFull time summer position for a leading lawn and garden manufacturer in New York Mills, NY.This is an eight to ten week position with the main responsibility to complete a manufacturing analysis of the top 7 to 10 products manufactured while understanding common parts and processes including identification of key differences. A successful outcome is an understanding where we can streamline our operations, reduce inventory and create commonality of production processes. In addition, analyze order of assembly with the eye to reduce white space in the production process.QUALIFICATIONS: Must be enrolled in course work or study relating to the work requirements, I.E. Industrial Engineering, Systems Analyst or other relative coursework. Must be able to read and understand schematics, drawings and assembly view documents for part IDs and assemblies.TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Analyze pump assembly for efficiencies including order of assembly, line layout, fixturing and ways to gain efficiency.Observe all lines with an eye for standard safety rules and regulations.Maintain awareness of environmental regulations (EPA, OSHA, Etc) and help assure compliance.Assist with manufacturing processes, implement cost and quality improvements.Minimize waste through set up reduction, scrap reduction, improved material and machine utilization.All other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Manufacturing Engineering and be able to maintain order and continuity when the manager is not available.TO APPLY:Qualified candidates please email resume and cover letter to Theresa Wilson at [email protected].
