New YorkApplyDescriptionWe are currently searching for a hands-on,TEMPORARY full-desk recruiter (October 29th through December 21st, 2019) , to join our growing Human Resources Department at New York Public Radio. This is the ideal role for someone with 2 or more years of proven recruitment experience, in a fast paced, dynamic and high volume environment. This role will report to the HR Business Partner and work closely with all members of our Human Resources Department.Responsibilities:
Manage entire interviewing process (post jobs, manage intake meetings, source candidates, screen/interview candidates, host interviews, create offer letters)
Manage, update and utilize applicant tracking system (Jobvite) as required
Generate strong candidate pipeline utilizing various traditional and non-traditional recruiting methods
Update hiring managers on recruitment process, applicant status and active pipeline of candidates
Ability to manage heavy calendar scheduling and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Maintain active pipeline of candidates for various roles and throughout the recruitment process
Maintain composure and professionalism in fast-paced, dynamic and stressful situations with multiple interruptions and distractions
Updated recruiting reports regarding new hires and open positions as needed
Collaborate with other New York Public Radio departments to ensure a smooth inter-department workflow
Other projects as assigned to assist with overall Recruitment functions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, communications, journalism, business, or related field.
2+ years previous recruiting experience; fast-paced, start-up setting required.
1+ years of experience recruiting in an agency setting, preferred
Ability to apply common sense and reasoning skills
Applied knowledge of employment-related legal requirements, including EEO, AAP, etc.
Strong customer service-focus with excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
Superior problem-solving skills and experience with a demonstrated ability to work with confidential information.
Demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse population.
Effective planning, organizational and detail-oriented skills.
Ability to take initiative and be a self-motivated and an independent, accountable, dependable employee.
Solid PC skills to include MS applications, Internet, applicant tracking system, (Jobvite a plus)
