Since 2007, Transactis has been a leading provider of Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) solutions to businesses of all sizes.The Production Support Engineer at Transactis is responsible for supporting our enterprise financial transaction processing platform.Role You will respond to complex IT escalations that require intimate knowledge of the underlying code, data, systems, and business functionality. You will troubleshoot, analyze data, communicate across teams to assess the scope and impact of the issue, and debug existing C# and MS SQL code, and code, implement, and assist with validating data fix solutions. You will be asked to assess root causes and document proposed long-term fixes in the core platform. Other responsibilities include improving application monitoring, creating application support tools, and advocating for improvements in the core platform application code and architecture.All About You Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. You have experience with n-Tier enterprise web application using IIS a must, preferably in highly available, scalable, mission critical systems. You have previous IT application support/operations experience, including the ability to advocate and execute strategies to minimize operational risks. Possessing financial industry and transaction processing experience is a plus. You have the ability to work with other business and IT teams including client relations, business operations, IT infrastructure, core platform development, QA, and product. You possess a strong knowledge of software development methodologies. You have the ability to read, write and debug C#, MS SQL code, and work with related web technologies (e.g. HTML, XML, IIS, SSMS, SQL Profiler). Experience working with Entity Framework and LINQ a plus. You possess strong analytical and communication skills. You are well-organized and able to respond in a timely and effective manner. You are comfortable with some shift work, as required for off-hours application maintenance.
