Our key accountabilities of the function include:- Managing the innovation hopper and pipeline; understanding the value, gaps, risks, resources and trade-offs required to deliver our targets and ensure we make the right innovation portfolio choices- Leading the Stage-Gate process and all innovation governance forums- Providing world-class Commercial project management expertise, delivering solutions that enable rapid speed-to-market and flawless execution- Driving innovation synergies and minimising duplication and low value-add activities- Proactively engaging with the Global Groups to enable flawless commercialisation of initiatives in Europe- Developing and embedding world-class people, processes, systems and scorecard capability into the categories and BUs- Driving continuous improvement across all innovation governance and Commercialisation KPIsThe Commercialisation function will encourage effective ways of working via close cross-functional collaboration, the effective networking of Category and BU Commercialisation teams and strong functional and operational reporting lines.Purpose of the role:- This role has an operational reporting line into the GM SVP EE Snacks, with a functional reporting line into the ESSA Commercialisation Senior Director. On a day to day basis, the role needs to work closely with the EE Snacks Category Lead Team members, including Marketing, Insights, Supply Chain, Finance and R&D leads, to effectively manage the EE Snacks Innovation & Brand Activation agenda across the Region- The role is accountable for the ongoing leadership & governance of the EE Snacks Category Innovation hopper & pipeline, Commercialisation processes and Innovation/Activation Governance forums.- The EE Snacks Commercialisation team provide project management leadership for Business Breakthrough and Category Reframe projects in EE markets as well as some multi-market Refresh, PWP, Renovation, Commercial Change and TPO / Value Engineering projects. Some of the more complex projects are likely to have both multi-market and/or global dependencies & synergies to leverage and manage.- The role also has responsibility for the CEGB BU Snacks and BUCCA BU Commercialisation teams with the leads of these teams reporting into the role.- The role will engage with the broader Sector Commercialisation team to enable functional priorities development, capability building and best practice sharing.Primary Accountabilities:- Portfolio management of the EE Snacks hopper & pipelines, highlighting risks, managing complexity & driving trade-offs. In particular, identifying pipeline value, the scale of projects, complexity and resources to execute.- The leadership of the EE Snacks Category Innovation Boards and other Category forums as required to enable critical Stage-Gate decision making and alignment between senior x-functional stakeholders.- Commercial project management of Category led Innovation, Commercial Change and TPO / Value Engineering projects for EE markets in the early/ development stages to Gate 3 approval and then ensuring a smooth handover to BU Commercialisation teams for flawless execution.- Responsibility for managing 7 direct reports, covering EE Snacks, CEGB Snacks and BUCCA BU teams.Qualifications/RequirementsProven results and critical experiences required in a significant number of the following areas:- Very strong, proven commercial project leadership skills- Deep knowledge of PepsiCo’s Make/Move/Sell capability- Knowledge of how to commercialise large scale innovation (incl Stage-Gate management)- Ability to deliver significant business change within a fast-paced X-functional, matrix environment- Strong commercial skills and/or supply chain experience- Very high level of business acumen must be commercially savvy and financially astute- Ideally has international experienceRelocation Eligible: Eligible for Limited RelocationJob Type: Pipeline
