For more information about the firm please visit our website atPOSITION SUMMARY:The Nuveen Private Placement team invests on behalf of TIAA and other clients in private credit. The team manages a $38bn portfolio and invests around $7bn annually. Investment professionals on the Nuveen Private Placement team specialize in corporate investment grade, project finance, private ABS, and credit tenant loan transactions.Reporting to the Senior Director - Private Placements, the Analyst will focus on and support the Credit Tenant Loan (CTL) team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Work with senior analysts to develop additionalquantitative and analytical tools to enhance security selection and portfoliomanagement.
Perform active surveillance of portfolioholdings in order to identify trends and make recommendations.
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysisused in the underwriting of potential investment opportunities.
Assist senior investment staff in the analysis,documentation, and processing of new investment transactions.
Assist senior team members in the development ofinternal memoranda and other materials used to support investmentrecommendations.
Contribute to overall success of the Nuveen PrivatePlacements’ CTL team which is one of the largest investors in the asset class.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strongproblem solving skills with a solid knowledge of accounting and finance
Strongresults orientation and ability to work in a performance-based environment
Abilityto communicate effectively
Abilityto work in a team environment
Strongknowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Required:
