Scrum Master/Jira Admin

We have an exciting opportunity for a Scrum Master/Jira Admin with our industry-leading client. You will play the role of a project manager or coordinator, so you will need to understand the concept of a work-breakdown-structure (WBS), resource planning, budgets and timelines. As a senior scrum master, you will help 2-4 teams meet their sprint goals, and maximize business value. You'll also coach the teams to mature in their Agile journey.

Your previous experience as a Jira Cloud Administrator will help maintain and improve our Agile system by creating/managing workflows, filters, dashboards, etc. You'll also ensure appropriate security measures that are in-line with the Information Security department. As needed, you will help train/indoctrinate new Jira users.

Responsibilities:

Scrum Master Responsibilities:
  • Manage each project's scope and timeline .
  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups .
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks .
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration .
  • Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders) .
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests .
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur .
  • Help teams implement changes effectively .
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint .
  • Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity .
  • Help build a productive environment where team members "own" the product and enjoy working on it.

Jira Administration Responsibilities:

  • Creates custom projects in Jira with varying degrees of complexity of workflows, reports, permission schemes etc. to meet business needs.
  • Manage user permissions according to the needs of projects and teams.
  • Maintain JIRA projects, workflows, permissions, and users while working in a JIRA Cloud environment.
  • Improve JIRA security. Set access permissions for JIRA projects and Confluence spaces.
  • Work with JIRA filters, reporting, dashboards, and workflows.
  • Provides formal and informal training to new JIRA users.
