Our client, a large hedge fund is seeking a combination Application Integration Developer/ Database analayst with 5-8 years total work experince.

Location: NYC Midtown

Position Type: Full Time

Job Description:

-The candidate will work as part of a small, agile team that is focused on delivering timely and thoughtful solutions to the business.

-The candidate will spend a portion of their time translating business requirements into software requirements and the other portion coding the data flows and interactions amongst the Firm's applications and systems, including Price Master, Security Master, Data Warehouse, Geneva, Eze Order Management System, and other Financial Applications.

-The candidate must be comfortable pulling data from diverse datasets and systems and compiling it into relevant reports.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Works with stakeholders to define their business needs and codifies their requirements for what must be delivered

-Identifies and prioritizes technical and functional requirements

-Writes clear requirements and creates data models, process diagrams, and design architectures that will further support the Firm's needs

-Documents, defines, and improves processes and streamlines workflows to enhance efficiency

-Integrates and maintains existing software to support the Firm's business processes

-Develops enterprise system designs and architectures across multiple business applications

-Uses Power BI and SSRS data visualization tools to design, develop and maintain reports, analyses and dashboards to drive key business decisions

-Knowledgeable of multiple programming languages and platforms including C#, .NET, SQL, CSS/HTML, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, and Web Services

-Demonstrates an understanding of complex SQL queries, stored procedures, indices, database functions and table optimization techniques

-Develops and tests database scripts, triggers, functions, views, SSIS, and other back-end processes to support system integration

-Automates manual processes and tasks using the Firm's job scheduling application

-Implements user access controls and data security measures where appropriate

-Knowledge and familiarity with CRM tools, particularly Salesforce

NON-TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

-Previous Financial Services experience a PLUS not required

-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant major

-Excellent writing and documentation skills

-Good interpersonal and collaboration skills with proven ability to communicate across all business levels

-Ability to deliver projects on time, work independently, and on multiple projects simultaneously

-Have the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively both verbally and in writing

-Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

-Knowledge and understanding of a financial organization's business structure

-Ability to do cost-benefit analysis

-Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and is a self-starter
