Position Summary

The Manager, Patron Insights and Engagement, reporting to the Director, Patron Insights and Engagement will take an active role in the research, identification, development and implementation of marketing and promotional campaigns. Initiatives both institutional and multi /cross-center will include brand marketing; development & marketing collaborations, marketing communications; promotional partnerships; as well as the development of new business marketing channels. The Manager will work in conjunction with the Director to identify data gathered from marketing automation systems to inform organizational decisions regarding marketing campaigns, and will assist in developing and delivering training regarding the use of these tools. The position requires strong strategic skills and knowledge of marketing, promotion and sales, including development of agreements, marketing communications, advertising, editorial, events, group sales and promotional partnerships.

Essential Functions

  • Develop on-going multi-channel implementation management of 92Y branding.
  • Planning, development, budgeting, scheduling and execution of marketing initiatives.

  • Point person / project manager for specific programs/projects with responsibility for multi-project timeline development and management including promotions, communications and marketing campaigns.

  • Research, identify, and manage, existing and new, institutional / multi-center marketing channels including the scheduling, message development and management of all relevant marketing communications. (I.e. arts & culture websites & publications; collective buying websites; event websites; communication channels for groups, institutions and societies).
  • Working with the Director, create and deliver training and support to Patron Insights and Engagement team on marketing automation system and other marketing tools.

  • Recommend and evaluate segmentation criteria and assist team members to independently create data sets using marketing automation system.

  • Identify key performance metrics and report periodically on the ROI on marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Develop and manage high impact sales and promotional programs with the goal of building awareness and driving revenue.

  • Work on department projects/initiatives such as the annual 92Y Street Festival among others.

  • Identify key metrics and implement tracking systems. (Detailed results & ROI reporting on campaigns & initiatives).

  • Position will provide marketing support to other areas as needed.

Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications and/or comparable work experience in advertising, direct marketing, e-commerce, promotion or publishing.
  • Three to five years of experience in an entertainment marketing or advertising firm or cultural / arts organization.

  • Demonstrated project management experience with the proven ability to manage timelines and balance multiple deadlines.

  • Must be intellectually agile in order to identify issues and make quality decisions

  • Demonstrated ability to work with various staff to resolve complex project issues.

  • Strong focus on customer service within a staff culture and in communication vision and culture to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems and make decisions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively influence others.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint required; experience with database tools and knowledge of internet technology (preferred).

  • Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and efficiency in Tessitura software highly desirable.

Hours of work:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm
