Compliance accomplishes these through the firm’s enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm’s second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm’s compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm’s responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. We look for those who possess sound judgment, curiosity, and are able to adapt to a changing regulatory landscape.BUSINESS UNIT AND ROLE OVERVIEWFinancial Crime Compliance (“FCC”) has primary responsibility for the execution of the firm’s enterprise-wide Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”), anti-bribery, and government sanctions compliance programs and, among other things, performs enhanced due diligence and government sanctions screening, as well as surveillance and investigations designed to identify potential terrorist financing, money laundering, bribery, market abuse, or other suspicious activity.The Consumer and Investment Management Division (“CIMD”) includes Private Wealth Management (PWM), Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) and our Consumer businesses (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONSOPPORTUNITYThere is an opportunity to join the Consumer Financial Crime Compliance team to contribute as a project manager and subject matter expert on the development and implementation of Anti-Money Laundering programs for new products within the Consumer space. The role is open to start immediately.The analyst/associate will assist in managing and developing compliance projects and technology initiatives for FCC. The analyst/associate will be responsible for developing operational road-maps, defining project scopes and outlining corresponding delivery milestones and drafting technology requirements in order to systematically build out workflows and systems.The ideal candidate will have prior experience in AML, covering all aspects of the program including, but not limited to, Know Your Customer and Transaction Monitoring. The ideal candidate will also have experience in Consumer Financial Products/Services such as retail, lending, and payments. The candidate must have the ability to collaborate with others, the ability to manage projects and processes, and the ability to multi-task. In this role, the analyst/associate will work closely with compliance, technology, and business personnel, and would be expected to quickly gain an understanding of the firm’s businesses and the rules and regulations under which the firm operates.Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required

3-5 years of experience working in Consumer Financial Products/Services and Financial Crime

Awareness of the Bank Secrecy Act and regulations as they relate to AML

Understanding of the opportunities and challenges in new products and how they relate to AML

Knowledge of the current AML/KYC/TM risk management technology/vendors

Excellent organization and project management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to adapt to new changes and new challenges

Ability to prioritize work flows and ensure deadlines are met

Ability to communicate Compliance requirements for consumption by Technology and other cross functional partners

Ability to work independently and be team-oriented

Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLookups) and PowerPoint
