New YorkQuality Assurance Lead (Grade 8) - D Shift (6:00PM-6:30AM)The role of Quality Assurance (QA) Lead is to provide further day to day leadership within the QA Department on the assigned shift. The candidate shall be capable of performing all tasks associated with the QA Tech 1,2, and 3 roles and in turn use their knowledge to support, train, and develop the QA Tech’s. The QA Lead will work closely with the QA Supervisor(s) and Quality Management staff to implement all food safety and product quality programs. The QA Lead position will serve as the back up in the absence of the QA Supervisor.The responsibilities of this position include:
Perform all tasks associated with QA tech 1,2,3 roles
Provide guidance and leadership to other QA technicians on shift
Have working knowledge of Chobani’s inventory management system
Skilled in department LIMS as well as other QA Systems
Review of completed rework holds and perform product disposition
Aid in implementing and maintaining company Food Safety and Quality programs
Conduct GMP and Food Safety audits of facility, document, and communicate findings
Place work orders in the automated Maintenance Work Order software
Assist with all 3rd party and regulatory audits or inspections when needed
Assist in development and review of department SOP’s, forms, and training documents
Assist in developing plant training presentations and documents
Perform regulatory chart review
Create culture pre-mixes and assemble culture batch kits for operations, serve as back up to culture tech.
Perform root cause analysis of QA issues and develop Corrective and preventative actions.
Delegate shift tasks and responsibilities when required
Perform other duties as assigned
Follow Chobani safety procedures
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
The requirements of this position include:
Minimum of A.A degree in Science; Bachelor’s degree preferred
1-2 years of quality assurance or food manufacturing experience
Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
