DescriptionIn MINEOLA, LONG ISLAND -> our client, government sector / federal enforcement agency: currently seeking a candidate to perform paralegal / JD-level functions on a long-term, contract basis, specifically with the responsibility of drafting subpoenas, gathering, reviewing and analyzing documents and searching law enforcement databases. "We routinely represent state agencies, including but not limited to, Office of Court Administration, Stony Brook, NYS Division Human Rights, NY State Police, Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, NYS Department of Health, in major federal and state court litigation involving questions of constitutional or statutory law that present significant financial exposure to the State fisc, and/or that have possible statewide implications in the event that we receive an adverse decision." Previous legal work experience and a dedication to integrity

Demonstrated enthusiasm to learn new ideas and concepts
Knowledge of Federal Law
Legal research experience
Draft Motions experience desired
Excellent attention to detail
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
