Description SHIFT: Day JobSCHEDULE: Full-timeThe
Vice President East Region Networks will have primary responsibility for provider contracting,
provider relations, recruitment, and strategy for provider networks within the
East Region (ME, NH, CT, NY, NJ, MD/DC, VA, NC, and GA). This is a tremendous
opportunity for the right person with significant experience leading regional
contracting efforts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all provider contracting, provider
relations, recruitment, and strategy for all markets within defined region for
all lines of business (Commercial and Government Business Division)
Work directly with Medicare, Commercial, and
Medicaid P&L owners to define, shape, and execute growth strategies (local,
national, and new markets) and retention initiatives
Execute on strategies to deliver current year
plan Cost of Care savings and identify incremental savings opportunities to be
implemented in subsequent years
Identify and/or execute on operational effectiveness
strategies/initiatives (e.g. Contraxx, EFA/EPA, EMAP) to achieve incremental
savings
Work closely with Provider Experience leadership
to maximize provider experience and to develop a best-in-class service model
for providers
Identify and/or execute on risk adjustment
strategies/initiatives to create incremental savings for Commercial, Medicare,
and Medicaid
Implementation of Provider Collaboration
initiatives including EPHC, Shared Savings, QHIP, etc…
Drive provider service, collaboration, and
engagement
Analyzing data and identifying drivers of
medical cost trends and implementing initiatives to mitigate trends
Ability to plan, organize, administer, and
coordinate a variety of large and complex services, projects, and programs.
Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate
performance of direct reports
Ability to source, develop, and grow talent
The
ideal candidate will
leverage resources and partnerships, internally
and externally, to spearhead Anthem’s Provider Solutions efforts to address the
needs of our members, providing direction for high quality of care and
continued business growth. The Vice President East Region Networks is
responsible for leading, developing and overseeing the implementation of
regional provider solutions strategies.Qualifications PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare
Administration or other relevant area of study. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 15 years leadership and executive
level experience spanning commercial and government business lines; in-depth
experience in the healthcare field including successful management experience
with a demonstrated record of hiring and developing direct reports and extended
leadership teams; or any combination of education and experience, which would
provide an equivalent background
Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing
provider networks or working in a risk bearing provider/delivery system
Proven success as an executive, collaborating
with other executive and leaders. Display personal agility to work across a
wide array of businesses and stakeholders to develop credibility and achieve
results.
Experience leading large national or regional
medical expense initiatives
Strong track record and experience in Managed
Care
Position required to be located within a primary Anthem office.
