Sunny Brook Builders, a Top Residential Remodeling company in Tompkins County is now hiring:
Immediate opening for full time carpenter (40 to 45 hrs per week minimum) with 1 or more years experience in residential construction and or maintenance;
Excellent attitude is essential (willingness to learn the latest materials, methods and building science, ability to communicate, ability to plan, ability to be positive and humble, ability to take constructive criticism, ability to take direction);
We provide on the job training to bring you up to speed with our standards and methods;
Basic residential construction skills required include attention to detail in all areas, and some experience level in some of the following: cleanup and site protection, framing, roofing, siding, flashing, air sealing, window and door installation, drywall hanging, trim, drywall finish, painting, flooring, trim work, cabinetry installation, electric, plumbing, masonry and Handyman skills are desirable;
Ability to plan, communicate and work efficiently, work on basic tasks noted above with instruction and supervision, be on time and on the job daily and fill out required paperwork daily;
Candidate must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation;
Pay is weekly with overtime over 40 hours;
Drug test and pre-employment physical paid for by employer;
