Bickering Twins is a Latin American restaurant in downtown Ithaca. Our menu is focused primarily around Mexican cuisine with other Latin American influences as well. We are looking for a line cook to work evening shifts on the cold line (where you will prepare salads, fried items, as well as hot and cold appetizers) and to wash dishes one night per week. We are ideally looking for candidates whom can fit the following schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday, and Sunday nights. Must have some availability to cover other shifts when needed. This job is a good fit for someone new to kitchens as the schedule avoids the busiest nights of the week. However, someone with experience, will have the opportunity to start here and move up to other positions when there is an opening. The pay rate will reflect experience. We are looking for cooks whom:
-Love food, are willing to taste new things, and have a passion for cooking
-Availability to work up to 32 hours per week
-Night-shifts (shifts run from roughly 4 pm- 12:30am) and some weekend availability
-Willing to do whatever tasks are necessary to run a successful service:
ex: Wash dishes, extra cleaning tasks etc.
-Takes instruction and constructive criticism well
Pay starts @ a minimum of $13/hr and will start at $14 for those with more applicable experience. Raises may become available after the first 3 months and will be dependent upon performance.We are looking for people who are excited about food, who want to work hard, and want to help create a solid and healthy team atmosphere.
