Having grown more than 30% in the last several years, and we are poised for continued double digit growth in the coming years.The Sales and Business Development Managerwill be responsible for supporting the sale of the full range of the PSD’s energy efficiency program management solutions to the utility and energy efficiency program implementation sectors. The Sales and Business Development Managerwill develop and maintain relationships with prospective customers via telephone calls, email, online and in person presentations, tradeshows, and proposal responses in coordination with other company senior executives. The Sales and Business Development Managerwill be responsible for gaining a clear understanding of customers’ business requirements and negotiating the fundamentals of an agreement for specific customers including the negotiation price and pricing options, delivered and optional services, partnerships and delivery objectives.Duties: Key duties of the Sales and Business Development Managerare to develop presentations for key utility, municipality, commercial, and government agency customers; target and contact key decision makers to develop positive and long-term relationships to secure sales; identify and prospect for new customers in specific industry segments; manage the full sales-cycle from lead to closing, including prioritizing, coordinating, reporting sales efforts; provide product demonstrations for end-user customers and channel partners, based on the alignment of the customer value proposition and the product’s capabilities; cultivate business relationships and communicated with clients to create awareness of the products and services that will meet customers’ goals and achieve company sales objectives; monitor account plan progress and provide status updates; maintain a thorough knowledge of the energy efficiency industry, its structure, trends, and key issues to understand customers’ primary business objectives, operations, challenges, and requirements; develop and manage proposals throughout informal and formal RFP processes.Apply NowMinimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent in combined education and professional experience required.

A minimum of three (3) years of Solutions Selling experience in the energy, energy efficiency or technology solution fields with demonstrated success selling technology enabled services.

Well-developed knowledge of energy efficiency industry, and an established network of industry contacts.

Excellent negotiation and written communications skills with the ability to close the deal.

Demonstrated ability to manage people and processes including the ability to author large RFP responses.

The ability to create presentation collateral; and develop and deliver live presentations for customer sales that are aligned with customer’s objectives.

Preferred Requirements:

Solid knowledge of energy efficiency program management, industry providers, and competitive landscape. A mix of career experience which includes assignments in energy, utility or technical service sales is desirable.

The demonstrated ability to develop industry partnerships to provide solutions for specific customer opportunities.

Background, certification, or familiarity with organizations such as: AESP, BPI, RESNET, AEE, ASHRAE, BOMA, or ACEEE is a plus.

Industry contacts and familiarity with offerings to gas and electric utilities, municipalities, federal government or NGOs is desirable.

Attributes: The Sales and Business Development Managermust be a team player, self-driven, and able to work in a group as well as independently; must be an excellent communicator, have strong interpersonal skills, be outgoing, and have the confidence and ability to speak in public and effectively deliver live presentations to a variety of audiences; must be motivated, goal oriented, organized, have strong analytical skills, be able to understand business processes, business objectives and understand client needs; must have strong negotiation skills; and be able to effectively communicate in writing and through presentations in a compelling and persuasive manner.Work Environment: Normal office setting. Will be required to use technology and electronic equipment to conduct presentations, meetings, and webinars remotely with a blend of internal and external constituents and clients.
