Business Development Manager for IT Service Company.

As an individual contributor you will do the following:

Primary purpose of this "hunter" role is to develop a very strong pipeline and eventually revenue.

Responsible for exceeding sales goals and maintaining the health of their territory pipeline while becoming a trusted advisor to their customers.

Takes ownership of assigned sales territory, looking for innovative ways to increase market share. Must create sales leads on their own without waiting for company to hand the leads to the individual.

As an individual contributor, this person provides management an accurate view of future revenue by judicious use of CRM and other tools.

Contribute heavily to marketing to ensure right pipeline by taking the initiative to create various demand generation programs (such as tradeshows and other events) in addition to individual lead creation.

When selling to existing customer accounts: - Builds and nurtures strong relationships with people - Drives deployment of solution and looks for opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell - Strategically plans accounts and builds customer networks

Hard Skills:

Identification and articulation of value of solution

Master in managing leads, opportunities, sales-cycle, pipeline and forecasting

Knowledge of how various technologies are employed to leverage business benefits

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with emphasis on listening and on preparing proposals.

Understanding of business-decision makers' thinking and ability to show empathy

Ability to adapt to changing scenarios

People skills and ability to work to a common goal of generating revenue
