IT Systems & Support Specialist: Adams Fairacre Farms has an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems & Support Specialist to provide end-user technical support and to assist with maintaining and installing IT systems. The Systems & Support Specialist will interact with end-users via phone, messaging, and in person to provide both remote and onsite assistance with the end goal of delivering excellent customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the IT Director.

First level hardware, software and network support for Adams’ end-users located in retail areas, corporate offices and Back Yard businesses, including:
Point of Sale troubleshooting
Windows/Mac Desktop computer support and troubleshooting
MS Office support and guidance
Network troubleshooting – WAN and LAN
Phone system and service troubleshooting
Business machines – printers, copiers, scanners, fax, etc.
Retail equipment – scales, labelers, handhelds, etc.
End user administration – Basic Active Directory and O365
Transaction/reporting research
Maintain and install systems including desktop PC configuration & replacement, software patches, networking devices, etc.
Answer phone calls and messages from end-users promptly to provide immediate solutions when possible
Log all end-user incidents in the help desk ticketing system
Escalate incidents to appropriate staff as necessary
Review incident queue and follow up as necessary to ensure all requests/incidents are fulfilled
Place service calls and replacement equipment requests with outside vendors. Monitor the status of the call until it is resolved.
Provide assistance as needed to cover functions of all IT staff members
Assist with IT/Corporate Scanning projects as needed
Remain familiar with Adams systems and operations to support end-users in the best way possible
Travel to all Adams sites for support and project purposes
Participate in after-hours on call rotationQualifications (General)
Ability to communicate in a clear, professional and friendly manner with end-users and coworkers
Work in a fast-paced environment where collaboration is essential.
Dependable and self-motivated
Flexibility in schedule
Maintain high level of integrity with Adams’ data and proprietary information
Reliable transportation and valid NYS driver’s license
Be 18 years or olderQualifications (Technical)
Experience working with and troubleshooting Microsoft and Mac operating systems required
Ability to diagnose hardware, software and equipment problems required
Understanding of networking technologies required
Basic knowledge of Active Directory and O365 is preferred
Knowledge of Supermarket retail systems and operations is preferred
CompTIA and Microsoft certifications are strongly preferredPhysical Requirements
Employee must be physically able to:
Ability to lift and move 50 pounds
Ability to freely access all areas of all stores including selling floor, stock area & register area
Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary
Use hands, wrists, fingers, and arms for duration of shift
