Visit www.alstom.com at http://www.alstom.com/ to learn more about our business.Test Manager - TeMDelegated by the Train Validation Engineer - TVE and under the technical responsibility of the Train Manager, the Test Manager acts as « Project owner » for the comprehensive range of Integration/Tuning and Certification/Validation tests.This position involving in training and if necessary participate to test management aspects, while the train is still in the site manufacturing facility. After completion of tests, the position may required costantly business trips and/or reallocate to be defined. The Test Manager will then be following the train to the remote test sites and need to be more autonomous in the execution of his/her responsibilities on the private test centers and/or public infrastructures.Permanently:

She/He will representing the TVE, on board the train, during validations and certification tests

Being the entry point for all the request of activities on train related to testing and coordinating them

Organising on a day to day basis, the way tests will be carried out

Making sure that tests equipment and instrumentation are always operational andavailable

Being the interlocutor, on a daily basis, of the Railway Test Centre or Public Infrastructure and follows the way various testing phases are organised

Before the tests:

Ensuring that test teams respect safety rules and procedures on board the train and preparing the work authorisations

Preparing the test implementation (staffing, availability of tools, calibrated measurement devices, and on-board spare parts, )

Checking that train and/or subsystems are compliant to the last Applicable configuration issued by System Engineer team

Arranging with his/her test center’s counter-part the test slot booking

During the tests:

Conducting the tests and carrying out the tests to be done by ALSTOM in coordination with the Train Manager (T&C)

Operationally coordinating all the testing teams and laboratories on board

Defining the priorities in case of conflicts between tests activities

After the tests:

Creating the failure reports.

Producing the test book (test events chronology) and daily shift reports

Skills & experience:

Experienced Test or Certification/Validation Technician/ Engineer

Structured and organised approach of the job

Coordination skills and ability to take decisions

No dedicated team but coordination of all the testing actors on board the train 5 to 20 people
