All applicants must be able to safely operate a wide variety of forklifts safely and efficiently (training and certification provided) to effectively move product within the facility and on and off trailers at our docks. Experience in shipping and/or receiving a must. Foodservice distribution experience preferred.
Position Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
-Manage both receiving and shipping teams throughout all aspects of the operation following Hillcrest Policies and Procedures.
-Assist team members to timely complete tasks when needed.
-Maintain a positive attitude and productive working environment.
-Ensure that all staff members are timely, positive and proficient in their tasks.
-Become efficient and knowledgeable with the WMS (Warehouse Management System) and RF scanning devices.
-Must become efficient on and safely operate many different types of electric forklifts used throughout the operation.
-Perform daily inventory control functions as required.
-Reports directly to the Operations Manager
-Ensure all employees are trained in all aspects of the duties.
-Must maintain a high level of attention to detail with any tasks assigned.
-Check in and cash out each driver as they return following Hillcrest Procedures when needed.
-Any other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
-18 years of age
-High School Diploma/GED
-Food service distribution or other warehousing experience required
-Be able to provide yourself with adequate transportation to accommodate any shift you are assigned to
-This position must pass pre-employment fit for duty screening and drug testing
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
-Frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms
-Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
-Multi-temperature environment
-Must pass a pre-employment screening which includes a "fit for duty" exam and a drug screening.
