Aide For A High Functioning 24 Year Old Developmentally Delayed Female
This position is to provide direct care to a high functioning 24-year-old female. Responsibilities of the aide would include crafts, assisting in routine activities (meal prep/hygiene/physical exercise etc) and functional life skill development. A key expectation is that the aide will assist in developing greater independence for the client. Community outings are an integral part of this shift. The position is home based and would include training by the client's parents. Candidates must pass background checks and demonstrate a reliable work history. Teaching or Life Skill Experience with autistic clients is preferred, but not required. Targeted work schedule is 8:00am-2:00 p.m. Mon-Fri, although candidates who can only work 4 days/week will be considered. Starting pay is 19/hour with review at 4 months.
