Req Number 0034TYJob DescriptionAs a Director of Site Information Services you will direct, plan and organize staff and activities in support of information systems for the site, lead the development and implementation of information systems programs and technology. You will also ensure coordination of systems planning, assessment of educational needs and development of tools and methodology to conduct clinical data analysis.Responsibilities Include:
Selects, develops, manages and evaluates direct reports and oversees the development, management and evaluation of indirect reports.
Assigns and prioritizes assignments of staff. Ensures in-service training of staff and the technical education of medical staff in support of program rollouts.
Leads the development and implementation of information systems programs including Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), Knowledge Based Charting (KBC) and Electronic Medical Administration Record (EMAR).
Reviews system technology implementation impact on existing work flow and makes recommendations for efficiencies and optimizes system enhancements.
Acts as liaison for site with OCIO to organize and prioritize program needs.
Develops and implements program tools, metrics and methodologies to analyze program effectiveness. Performs clinical data analysis and reports on results.
Oversees database development and analysis, software applications, web applications and report generation.
Conducts periodic assessments to identify opportunities for system enhancements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a clinical discipline, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field, required. Master's Degree, preferred.
Minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in clinical area and information technology, required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required.
Prior information systems project management experience, preferred.
Clinical experience preferred.
