Unit DescriptionSodexo , leader in quality of life services is currently seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 for a new address recently awarded to Sodexo. RWJ Barnabas Health Hamilton is a 100 bed acute care hospital in Hamilton, New Jersey. Opportunity for a leader to make a difference in the lives of patients, customers and staff. Room-service style meals provided to patients and a robust dining establishment for visitors and staff.Your responsibilities will include: cash handling/management, working with unit financials, inventory/purchasing, ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance, training, HR functions, direct customer interaction and supervision of 40 hourly associates. This position will report directly to the General Manager.The successful candidate will have at least 2-3 years food management experience, computer literacy, a strong working knowledge of HACCP guidelines, the ability to work independently as well as excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills.Is this opportunity right for you?At Sodexo, you will find the ingredients for a great career in food service management. can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and

can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Provides supervision for food services at account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the company. Establishes a safe work environment

Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships, to ensure account retention

Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes

Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met

Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan

Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and regulatory agencies
