Foxfire Mountain House in Mt. Tremper, NY is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The right candidate will have the opportunity to evolve into higher positions within the team and should be ambitious and personable. We are a well-established operation with a small, tight-knit team. We are looking for someone who can be warm and engaging with our guests and is able to be forward-thinking and adventurous in their cooking.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prep and execution of a la carte dinner service for hotel guests and dining public.
- Prep and execution of weekly catered events for up to 150 guests.
- The ability to thrive in a fast paced environment; working in the restaurant as well as special events with numerous, changing, seasonal menus.
- A passion for detail, consistency, and timing.
- The desire to learn, grow and evolve into higher positions within the team.
- Working knowledge of food temps, knife skills, blanching, searing, emulsions.
- Understanding of sanitary kitchen practices, basic inventory, and organization.
- You are a motivated self-starter. No task is beneath you!
The ideal candidate will be hard-working and personable. We are a well-established operation with a small, tight-knit team. We are looking for someone who can be warm and engaging with our guests and is able to be forward-thinking and adventurous in their cooking. This position is being offered as part-time to start but will evolve into a full-time position in early Spring or sooner.
