Security EngineerKey Qualifications5+ years of work experience in infrastructure or security engineeringBreadth of technical experience across various infrastructure and security areas in mid-sized and large production environments.Experience distilling complex technical information and conveying to different types of audiences that enables decisioning.Ability to prioritize, reproduce, recommend remediations and implement fixes for vulnerabilities.Experience in vulnerability scanning. Familiar with tools/technologies used.Expert in networking concepts (firewalls, load balancers, subnetting, etc).Proficiency with leading information security frameworks and best practices (NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO27001/2, and CIS Top 20 Controls).Practical knowledge of applied cryptography (encryption at rest, TLS, hashing, etc).Experience securing infrastructure in public cloud (ie - AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Experience with implementing Mobile Device Management solutions (ie - Apple MDM, Microsoft InTune). Experience defining secure configuration standards and working with the Engineering team to implement. Description You will•Conduct security assessments and architecture reviews working closely with the CISO, Risk Manager and VP of Engineering.•Report underlying security issues and propose appropriate security controls.•Research the latest security standard methodologies, trends, threats and vulnerabilities, and technology frameworks.•Document and disseminate security guidelines for common security issues, provide remediation guidance, and security baselines.•Proactively introduce new controls (technical and procedural) into the infrastructure environment that improves overall security posture.•Incorporate new secure design patterns into platforms that expand what our engineers can do in a secure way. Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering with emphasis in security related fields (or equivalent experience). Certs like AWS Security, AWS Advanced Networking, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Network+, Security+, CCSK, CCSP, etc. are helpful but not vital.
