We are a growing engineering firm in search of a reliable candidate for a site visit technician.
This is a great supplemental position that will allow you flexibility.
Travel within Western NY region (Buffalo-Rochester mostly), some travel will extend to Syracuse, Binghampton, Elmira. There will be some work from home for organizing field notes and photos.
A candidate must be proficient in MS Word and Excel, can legibly take hand notes, measurements, take photos with camera, be punctual and articulate. Must have a valid driver license, insured and reliable vehicle, a printer, and a scanner.
Quick and self learner will be great! Engineering students are a plus!
Basic training will be provided. This position is on per call bases. You will be informed a week or two in advance to select a time for a site visit. Mornings are preferred.
It will be an average of 20 hours per MONTH, summer and warmer months are typically more. Sometimes, but rarely it may get to 60 hours per month.
It is an hourly contract pay of $20 per hour plus IRS Mileage rate, travel expenses, plus tolls.

The pay averages around $25-$30 per hour with mileage compensation.
You will receive a 1099-MISC Form and will be responsible to pay your own taxes.
