Engineering Assistants provide support to the engineering staff on a variety of technical tasks. Responsibilities can include gathering, compiling and maintaining technical data such as engineering design changes, test results and customer correspondence.Applicants selected are subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to US Department of Defense classified information. This position requires meeting adjudicative requirements for access to Special Programs. US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED.Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Engineering or Sciences, or equivalent education and work experience

4+ years of experience working in Engineering support environment

Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Visio

Exceptional communication skills including oral, written, interpersonal, and listening

Ability to work in a fast-paced product team environment

Well organized with the ability to multitask – handle several tasks at the same time and drive each to completion

Must be proficient using MS Office Tool Suite

Adaptability with usage of current and new tools

Must have a general understanding of engineering development lifecycle, including task dependencies and relationships

Must be aggressive enough to pursue issues and obtain necessary data to accomplish assigned tasks by due dates

Ability to work in an environment of small teams and interact in a positive manner

Active DoD Secret Clearance within a six-year investigation period preferred

Preferred Additional Skills:

Knowledge of Earned Value Management, plus

Knowledge and understanding of a wide range Military Specs/Stds

Demonstrated experience with DOORS and using Risk Radar

Demonstrated experience with ClearCase & ClearQuest
