Job Description

The Scrum Master provides servant-leadership and mentorship to a cross-functional agile team. This position will guide and serve teams that deliver technology solutions, through effective application of the Lean / Agile principles and frameworks including Scrum, Kanban Method, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

The Scrum Master will coach the team to create strong skills in self-organization, cross-functionality, collaboration, conflict resolution, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Hands-on experience using and understanding Agile principles and experience with a wide variety of agile approaches, such as Scrum, SAFe, XP, Kanban and Lean, and how they work to deliver business value.

Knowledge of and support for enterprise initiatives to improve development and agile delivery best practices, including helping to champion DevSecOps mindset and pipeline as well as creative facilitation and collaboration techniques.

Fundamental Components

Coach one or more Scrum teams to ensure adherence to all team agreements and enterprise best practices; drive course correction as needed;

partner with resource managers for team member specific development opportunities (50%)Track and report KPIs as defined for each assigned team (15%)Facilitate key ceremonies, including ensuring appropriate preparation for quarterly planning (15%)Work across teams and the department to remove impediments and manage dependencies (15%)Participate in Scrum Master Community of Practice to ensure continued awareness and adherence to agreed upon best practices and organizational priorities (5%)

Background Experience

1-3 years experience required3-5 years experience preferred High School Diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED) requiredAssociates Degree or equivalent experience requiredCertified Scrum Master requiredBachelor Degree or equivalent experience preferred
