Cass Hill Development Companies is seeking candidates for a full time permanent Maintenance Technician position to travel between a portfolio of residential properties between Albany and Glens Falls.
Job Duties:
Job duties will be primarily driven by work order requests from CHDC’s managed properties. Responsibilities will include; providing maintenance and repair services for managed properties as directed; accurately recording and closing work order requests with our work order app, Yardi Systems. On Call is required on a rotating basis. Other duties may be required as determined by the Property Manager.
Qualifications:
The Maintenance Technician must be mechanically inclined with a substantial background in building maintenance. Maintenance and repair abilities include:
· common area maintenance (changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles and daytime emergency janitorial duties)
· HVAC troubleshooting and repairs
· groundskeeping
· appliance repairs
· minor dry wall repair and taping
· painting
· locksmithing
· carpentry
· minor plumbing
· electrical repairs that do not require a license
· apartment turnovers
The successful individual will be able to work independently and will take ownership of responsibilities. The Maintenance Technician must be personable with exceptional communication skills, possess a positive attitude, demonstrate attention to detail and be capable of representing CHDC. The technician is required to have a current valid driver’s license while employed and appropriate hand tools.
