Work Location: Albany, NY Description:The Senior Technical Analyst will report to the Medicaid Data Warehouse (MDW) QA project manager and work with a team of MDW business and quality analysts to perform reviews and make recommendations for on-going changes, improvements and maintenance for the MDW. The MDW was created as a central repository for all New York State Medicaid data and is one of the largest and most technologically advanced healthcare data and intelligence platforms in the United States. It contains more than six billion Medicaid claims and encounters and supports more than 1,500 users. The system allows for self-service ad hoc queries, data extraction and analytics reporting. Responsibilities for this position include:• Review, identify, and document quality assurance (QA) issues and recommendations relative to the implementation and maintenance of the MDW technical architecture• Review MDW contractor project artifacts throughout the system development life cycle for quality, compliance, and completeness, documenting the observations and findings using standard checklists and comment matrices.• Artifacts reviewed include, but are not limited to: Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), Project Assessment (hour estimates), Project Design Documents (PDDs), Project Change Requests (PCRs), Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs), Test Packages, and Billing Invoices• Lead QA reviewer for Disaster Recovery Plan and Testing, vendor Technical Design Documents, Transition Plan and Deliverable Expectation Documents (DEDs)• Perform technical reviews for appropriateness of change request assessment hours• Backup resource for service level agreement (SLA) compliance reviews Mandatory Qualifications:• Three (3) or more years’ experience in Medicaid data warehouse QA, conducting reviews of various system development life cycle documentation, and project and technical architecture design artifacts• Three (3) or more years’ experience using data warehouse reporting tools and analysis using SQL• Remote work until further notice, thereafter, position is 100% on site in Albany, NY• Ability to assess technical proposals against best practices• Ability to assess level of effort and project estimates against a proposal and recommend acceptance or rejection• Familiarity with Microsoft applications including Office, SharePoint and Teams• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in written form, to collaborate and engage as a high performing team member with the QA team and client representativesVacancy caducado!
