The Delmar Dolfins swim team, based at Bethlehem Central and Albany Academy pools, is looking to increase our coaching staff and is offering positions as assistant coaches and group coaches to qualified individuals. The candidate should have coaching experience, swim instructor experience, AND/OR competitive swimming experience with the ability to have lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certification (either currently hold these certs or be able to attain them-the team could possibly help with a class location and fees).
The Dolfins is an age group competitive swim program of approximately 130 youth members based in Albany County with the majority of our members coming from the Bethlehem Central School District. We start with 6 year olds in our developmental program and have members in high school and college. Our practice sessions are normally in the evening weekdays (approx. 6-8pm) with Saturday morning practices at varied times.
We are looking for candidates who would be able to coach 3 to 6 days per week and attend some of our meets which usually take place on Saturday or Sunday. Training is available and we generally have new coaches shadow veteran coaches until they feel ready to help out on their own.
We need coaches who are dedicated, very reliable, have their own transportation, and want to be a part of a very good supportive coaching staff.
