Our goal is to find someone who can work our website and that can help us grow, refine, and further develop our online presence including social media accounts and other online engagement platforms. The person we are looking for should have strong marketing skills and will need to be flexible in filling in other roles of our business.
The skills that are required for this position is a sound understanding of Wordpress and how to make posts, edits, and updates on a WordPress web page which will be a central component of the position on a weekly basis. Additionally, a strong understanding of content creation and promotion via Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and others is also a must.
Qualifications:
Proficient in maintaining Wordpress website.
Is creative and has the ability to post and promote on various social media platforms
Must possess excellent communication skills
Knowledge of Native American art forms (pottery, weavings and jewelry) and of Northern NM artists is a plus. Must be willing to learn about these by self-study if needed.
Background in high-end retail art sales a plus.
Basic computer and writing skills are required including Excel, Word, Photoshop, Mail chimp, email, etc.
Photography skills are also a plus.
Willing to work Sundays/weekends.
Must have reliable transportation.
Duties:
Provide professional sales assistance to customers when needed.
Maintain gallery website
Photograph new arrivals - use Photoshop to refine images before loading on the website
Adding artist's biographies as appropriate.
Maintain Mail Chimp database and create campaigns
This is a high-end art gallery so an applicant must present themselves in a professional manner and must be confident and comfortable dealing in face-to-face interactions, over the phone and via email with customers.
Compensation:
Starting salary and commissions commensurate with experience and qualifications.
