The Oar is a seasonal high volume family owned 275 seat waterfront restaurant seeking Line Cooks and a Kitchen Manager for the upcoming 2020 summer season. Located on beautiful Block Island, a small island off the coast of Rhode Island, which is accessible only by ferry. The ability to relocate for the summer is a must. We are looking for dedicated, team oriented, experienced line cooks who are able to stay organized and focused in a high volume setting. The ability to work in a grill, flat top, or expo position is preferred. The position runs from May to mid-October with a six-day workweek and housing is available at eighty-five dollars per week. Kitchen Manager responsibilities include scheduling staff of 32, produce and bread orders, the flow of the kitchen, keeping ticket times low, and assisting GM with food ordering. All interviews are done on Skype, seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST. No cellphones, please.
