Job brief
We are looking for a full time host to join our team and be the first point of contact for our guests.
Host responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, escorting guests to their tables, and answering the phones. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive. Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests to the restaurant
Provide accurate wait times and monitor wait lists
Manage reservations
Escort guests to assigned tables
Provide menus
Thank guests upon their departure
Coordinate with servers about available seating options
Maintain a clean reception area
Answer incoming calls and address guests’ queries
Assist servers as needed
Any additional task the manager may require
Assist in bussing tables
Requirements
Previous restaurant work
Understanding of restaurant etiquette
Familiarity with health and safety regulations
Demonstrable customer-service skills
Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining area
Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
Schedule flexibility (we cannot guarantee a set schedule)
Positive attitude
Hours/Pay
5 shifts per week (approximately 30 hours per week)
$11 per hour plus tips
