We continue to provide innovative care models, focused on improving quality and access to healthcare.ResponsibilitiesThe MRI Technologist assists with providing safe, age appropriate care to the patient by performing all MRI exams provided by the department according to department procedures with the knowledge and ability to properly and safely obtain a quality diagnostic study. Responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. The technologist is able to independently perform job functions. Sets up the equipment to provide imaging service and positions patient for the procedure.QualificationsRequired Minimum Education : Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.Required Minimum Experience : 12 months of experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging preferred.Required Minimum Certification : Registered by ARRT. MR registry preferred. Current BLS with the American Heart AssociationRequired Minimum Skills : The individual must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language and display a positive attitude. If site is ACR accredited must meet minimum requirements. Competency in all aspects of MRI, patient positioning, pulse sequence parameters and magnet safety.
