Provides prescribed respiratory therapy ordered by the physician, which includes assessment, treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients within the facility in a safe and approved fashion. Acts as an Adult/Pediatric resource to RCP staff, nursing, physicians, and patients and performs in-depth patient cardiopulmonary assessment. Functions as relief charge RCP.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:MINIMUM REQUIRED: A.S. Degree in Respiratory Care. Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program. Successful completion of NBRC exams for Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). At least two years of experience as an RCP II or equivalent. Must complete all relevant qualifications specific to this job classification which includes Pediatric components. Manager approval required.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:MINIMUM REQUIRED: State of California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
