SAIC is looking for a candidate for Production Tools Software Support to contribute to the success of enterprise business applications in varying stages of the software development life cycle. This position is for a person with a passion for software engineering and solving complex software problems. You will be given the opportunity to gain valuable practical experiences by participating on an enterprise software engineering team with top talent.The software systems engineer duties will include:•Investigates, designs, develops, tests, documents, and analyzes software systems and applications.•Develops new programs and subprograms, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software. •Prepares concepts and prototypes for information system software solutions or for specialized software domains and evaluates the cost-effectiveness of these concepts. •Implements software solutions that may be commercial-off-the-shelf or internally developed.•Evaluates interfaces between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. •Applies software engineering principles, tools, and advanced techniques to develop and support applications, including software development methodologies, database design methodologies, programming languages, source code control for release management, and disaster recovery methodologies. •Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance and quality standards#ABQX Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management of Information Systems, or relevant discipline and 2 years or more experience OR 6 years or more experience in lieu of degree. •Minimum of 5 years' experience developing software applications that contain user-centric design, software development methodologies, database design, source code control, release management, and disaster recovery methodologies.•Ability to work with multiple hardware and operating systems, system architectures, and network infrastructures.•Strong server-side development experience utilizing .NET Technologies•Experience with web application frameworks, such as ASP.NET Core •Expertise with C#•Experience unit and integration tests•Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines.•Excellent oral and written communication skills.Desired Skills:•Experience writing reusable libraries and clean, readable C# code•Has previous experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes•Hands on experience using Git is required•Previous experience using TFSVC is a plus•Familiarity with continuous integration•Understanding and use of agile development practices including user stories, code reviews and paired programmingMy SAIC Benefits.Vacancy caducado!
