Quality Inspector (Electronics Manufacturing) (NE Albuquerque)

Shift:

1 Opening= 1st Shift, 7- 3:30, with 1/2 hour lunch

2 Openings= 2nd Shift, 3:00 - 11:30 p.m. (+ 10% differential)

Rate:$14;8-hour / 40-hour workweek. Start date 7/27/20

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Identifies problems with workmanship or process damage. Ensure the quality of produced assemblies by physical and visual inspection to verify characteristic against predetermined specifications, drawings or standards. Document results as per internal procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works from blueprints, customer drawings, engineering change notices, military standards, and established operating procedures to determine acceptance, rejection or rework requirements of assembled units or supplier components.

Conducts visual inspection to verify physical properties.

Ensures the build and test manufacturing process has been completed.

Communicates errors and systemic trends to the quality organization.

Enters data into software tools.

Completes required training.

Follow and support Lean and 5S initiatives.

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATIONS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

High School Diploma.

1-3 years’ experience as a Quality Inspector or Operator in an electronics manufacturing environment, preferred.

Pass eye exam (visual acuity).

Ability to work long hours looking into a microscope.

Demonstrated ability to follow complex work instructions.

Demonstrated experience in an environment that requires attention to detail and focus.

Demonstrated outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient with MS Office.

Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

Ability to work the hours necessary to complete activities, as required.

Physical Effort Requirements:

Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, sit, and move about facility for long periods of time.

Ability to use hands and fingers.

Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.

Ability to use computer, calipers, pin gauges, microscope, and other inspection tools.
