Job Description
The Ayurvedic Institute is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that teaches the principles and practices of Ayurveda, the ancient science of life. We provide authentic education in a supportive environment that encourages the integration of Ayurveda by individuals into their daily living and by health care professionals into their clinical practices.
The Housekeeper for the Ayurvedic Institute’s Ayurvedic Center for Healing, Life, and Longevity is responsible for creating a clean and welcoming environment which enables superb service and experiences and ensuring the overall health and wellbeing of our clients. This includes the responsibilities of daily cleaning of offices, workspaces, public spaces, treatment rooms and common areas between client appointments as well as cleaning of the PK house.
Responsibilities - (not limited to)
Fully clean and sanitize Panchakarma treatment rooms, bathrooms, lobby, and other general areas between each client.
Fully clean and sanitize Panchakarma House on the weekend after client leaves to prepare for new client arrivals (arrivals begin Sunday after 12:00 pm to evening).
Cleaning of office spaces, workspaces, breakrooms, bathrooms, and public spaces.
Trash removal
All cleaning must meet COVID standards.
All cleaning must meet the highest of expectations.
Organizing, maintaining inventory, and other general duties
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a passion for organization and cleanliness.
Must be detail oriented.
Must be flexible as client treatment appointment may change.
Must be willing to follow all safety protocols.
This position requires occasional evening or required weekend work.
Physical Requirements - (not limited to)
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crawl, reach above and below shoulders, repetitive arm and wrist use, climb ladders and stairs, and walk on uneven surfaces.
Must be able to operate motor vehicle or provide transportation to travel to various properties in city.
Must be able to see and hear.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
Must be able to work around moderate noise level.
