Occasionally clarify complicated financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects
Investigate concluding results at the corporate and division levels
Be conductive in the production of monthly financial reporting and other business data
Direct internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
Survey and query an extensive amounts of data
Support multiple aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)
Offer insight to ensuring adequate controls and procedures
Devise unique alternatives and solutions to reduce costs and elevate financial performance of a company
Offer insight in annual budgeting process
Strengthen and evaluate budgets and income statement forecasts
Help out with monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
Requirements
Less than one year of experience required
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Accomplished computer skills are a must. This includes word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Analysis experience
Command of financial modeling
