Patient Financial Counsler

DescriptionProgressive Healthcare organization in Bergen County is seeking a Patient Finance Coordinator to join their dynamic team. The Patient Finance Coordinator will work with health insurance providers to determine coverage and benefit limits. The Patient Finance Coordinator will advise patients of procedure costs , alternative sources of funding ,verifies insurance eligibility, documents deductible/co-insurance data in systems, obtains authorizations for patient treatments, hospital inpatient/outpatient, any diagnostic tests or injectable drugs and referrals, calculates costs assuring patients have a clear understanding, works with pharmaceutical companies to obtain financial aid for patients in need, follows up, tracks, and updates authorizations requests to insurance companies. The requirements for the Patient Finance Coordinator will have 2-3 years in a healthcare or related organization in a similar role, attention to detail , patience and a keen sense of empathy.
