DescriptionOne of our growing clients is looking for a Certified Professional Coder to join their team. If you're a self-starter looking to build your career, this may be the job for you.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Enters coding and demographic information on assigned encounters. Conducts audits for missed charges and records information. Conducts specialized monthly charge reconciliations. Remains current with CPT and ICD-10 guidelines for coding and diagnostic procedures and federal legislative changes that affect outcomes. Remains current with changes in reimbursement regulations with contracted insurance plans as well as Medicare to minimize denials. Attends meetings and in-services as required. Participates in educational professional development activities. Two years of customer service experience required - phone experience preferred. Knowledge of insurance, billing terms, CPT and ICD 10 codes strongly preferred.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced computer knowledge, including Windows-based programs (EMR experience a plus). Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. Ability to work individually, and as a member of a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
