Red Hat is a rapidly growing company supporting more than 90% of Fortune 500 companies.Job summaryThe Red Hat North America (NA) Telco team is looking for a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect to join our OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) Tiger team covering the top cloud service providers (CSPs), multiple system operators (MSOs), and network equipment providers (NEPs) in NA. In this role, you’ll need to have expertise in container, virtualization, and management and orchestration technologies. You’ll help our team create solutions and advocate compelling recommendations to Red Hat’s telco customers. You'll help our customers invest in the right container solutions that will give them maximum flexibility with their development and operational environments. You will provide thought leadership at key events as a Red Hat OpenShift expert. You’ll need to have deep technical expertise, passion for open source, a thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and create business solutions at the enterprise level. As a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect, you will specialize in Red Hat’s container technologies, architectures, and solutions and public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.Primary job responsibilities
Present Red Hat OpenShift technology and solutions to customers and partners, addressing complex requirements, designing value-driven architectures, and explaining the value of these solutions to guide Red Hat OpenShift sales
Architect compelling solutions which will directly result in the closing of Red Hat OpenShift sales while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
Assist in the development of Red Hat OpenShift sales strategies to help ensure that Red Hat's objectives are met
Create and conduct demonstrations of Red Hat OpenShift solutions, proofs of concepts, benchmarks, and other deliverables as appropriate
Gain deep understanding of customer business and IT environments and serve as an advocate for customer priorities with the Business team
Provide thought leadership at key industry events for container technology and its top telco use cases including network functions virtualization (NFV) in both core and edge operational workloads
Required skills
Extensive knowledge of enterprise container architectures and solutions, Red Hat OpenShift and competitive solutions, Linux, and deploying and running container solutions in private, public, and hybrid clouds
Experience selling to development community with deep knowledge of development tools and continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) processes
5+ years of experience with Linux in the areas of system administration and integration
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Willingness to travel up to 75%
Extensive knowledge and experience with Kubernetes and complementary third-party Kubernetes technology
5+ years of experience working as a sales engineer
