We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to tackle new challenges as we continue to provide the warfighter with cutting edge tools.Job Description:We are seeking a talented and experienced software test engineer to support our efforts with the US Army at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The successful candidate will flourish in the following job functions:
Independently create test plans and procedures, and execute them;
Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load/performance, system, and user acceptance testing;
Help manage defects, and proactively identify risks to management;
Define quality metrics and targets for assessment, measurement, and continuous improvement of QA and testing effectiveness;
Collaborate to develop automation test scripts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience as a test engineer or in a related field;
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in order to provide root cause analysis;
Performance metrics collection and reporting;
Scripting in PowerShell, Python, or similar language;
Active security clearance.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with network protocols and tools such as Wireshark;
Military Standards including 6017A, 6017C, MIL2525C, and 2045-47001C;
Military Networks including WIN-T, BFT2, and LAN;
vSphere and VMWare Administration;
Linux administration;
Microsoft Windows Server.
