Will you?What does this role look like?This is for the On-Site Lead for a Navigation Satellite Payload Program, who will be the key supply chain lead in a fast-paced, strategic environment, responsible for delivering significant Enterprise value by driving bus commonality, efficiency and affordability.Supply Chain’s vision is to enable customer and mission success through supply chain strategies and execution that deliver superior operational program performance and create competitive advantage through continuous improvement. It is our mission to deliver affordable supply chain solutions that meet all program requirements and manage supply chain risks to ensure positive supplier performance through all phases of the program life-cycle from capture to sustainment.This role will offer you the following daily challenges: Develop and implement initiatives that drive efficiencies in the delivery, quality and manufacturing of components and systems across multiple architectures Collaborate and communicate long term investment strategies to develop and deliver next generation hardware solutions and strategic agreements to significantly reduce lead time and cost Identify and coordinate technology insertion to significantly improve navigation payload capabilities Articulate and communicate subcontract and procurement status, risk & opportunity management, and issues, resolution / recovery plans to all stakeholders Collaborate with subcontract management team, to include RFPs, technical evaluations, risk assessment and Basis of Estimate requirements through negotiations and subcontract award Identify and coordinate finance metrics supporting lead time and cost reductionsBasic Qualifications:To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications: Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment. Must have related subcontract, program management and/or engineering experience, proven record of successful performance with focus on mission success. Must have experience demonstrating technical acumen with space programs and/or projects Must have experience developing and delivering technical solutions with documented ROI Proven ability to drive and inspire results/resolution of technical issues and successful outcomes through teamwork Experience developing strategies for unsuccessful products and relationships with cross functional teams Highly developed critical thinking and problem solving skills. Excellent English communication skills, both written, presentation, and verbal are required to effectively communicate business cases, Return on Investment (ROI) and execution status of initiatives. You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Desired Skills:To be successful, ideally, you should also have: Typical candidate will have at least 15 years of professional Subcontract & Project management experience Understanding and working knowledge of DFAR and LMAP Technical knowledge of space hardware products and familiarity with the LM Space Programs Understanding of and experience negotiating and securing funding for complex long-term agreements Strong business acumen Demonstrated skills to drive culture change supporting enterprise initiatives (i.e. hardware commonization and insertion into programs, shift to "we vs. me" behaviors)The right candidate will ideally have demonstrated ability to: Drive technical supply chain personnel to desired outcomes Proactively team with all levels of the organization and program customers Develop and foster strong relationships with suppliers and IPT members Implement continuous improvement leading to improved team and supplier performance.Benefits of Employment:To promote the sharing of ideas, Lockheed Martin champions an inclusive work environment that urges differences and big-picture thinking.Our employees play an active role in strengthening the quality of life where we live and work by volunteering more than 850,000 hours annually.
