Must be able to analyze malfunctions, repair, rebuild, and maintain the following types of equipment: graders, conveyors, bulldozers, pumps, compressors, excavators, backhoes, rollers, compactors, crushers and screeners in a shop and off site with the use of a company vehicle.
Requirements:
1. Must be able to supply your own complete set of master mechanic hand tools and impact wrenches.
2. Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background and motor vehicle records check.
3. Disassemble and reassemble equipment using winches and power tools.
4. Inspect parts for damages and or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
5. Replace or repair engines and transmissions.
6. Weld damaged parts and structural deficiencies.
7. Perform electrical work including wiring systems.
8. Fabricating skills.
9. Modify and install special equipment or replacement parts using mills, lathes, welders, torch sets, plasma cutter and metal cutting saws.
10. Repair and/or adjust electrical sensors, E.G.R. valves, and computerized electrical systems according to automotive and Federal Government Clean Air Standards.
11. Change Tires.
12. May guide workers in cleaning parts and assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
2. Must be able to follow directions, instructions, and procedures.
3. Demonstrates problem solving and common sense.
4. Must be highly organized.
5. Must be able to complete reports and records of time spent, materials, parts used and work completed.
Physical Requirements:
1. Maneuvering in, around, and on equipment including working on uneven ground.
2. Climbing and the possibility of working from high platforms.
3. Reaching, pushing, and pulling gears to operate levers, and steering wheel.
4. Bending and stooping.
5. Lifting or moving heavy tools, equipment, and materials with team assist when appropriate.
Compensation and Benefit Plan:
Compensation: Based upon experience and abilities, base pay ranges between $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Benefit Package: Health, vision and dental insurance is available the first of the month after 60 days of service.
Personal time off and paid holidays.
BONUS: A monetary bonus is offered after completing 180 days of good standing employment and again at one year anniversary.
