Bell Market/RBC Hospitality Group is seeking a Catering/Events Assistant! One of the most important elements of what you will do, both behind the scenes and amongst the energy within Bell Market, will be interacting and engaging with our guests. Sharing a passion for hospitality to create the best customer experience possible is our goal. While some days may begin with simple, daily operational tasks, they set the entire team up for success by tackling each day with a sense of urgency, positive outlook, and knowledge of our brands. Future growth opportunities are abundant and each team member is provided the necessary training and educational opportunities for continued career advancement.
The candidate who will fulfill this position must be a team player and able to divvy up their day wearing a multitude of hats. From setting up catering order needs at the beginning of each day and delivering orders throughout the building, to assisting in our food hall through the lunch rush and to our more formal, evening and private events.
Professionalism, an organized and detail-oriented nature, a warm personality, and a can-do attitude are all musts. A readiness to chat and give a friendly greeting to any of the 3,500 tenants of Bell Works is essential, and an overall passion for sharing the knowledge of our wholesome and dynamic food and beverage programs.
Front of house restaurant experience is a plus, but not required. Availability is mainly Monday - Friday, however a flexible schedule regarding timing each day is a must, as shift times are often based around events and catering needs that vary each day. This position starts at an hourly wage, depending upon experience, with tips and a future opportunity towards a salaried role with RBC Hospitality Group.
Ideally our Candidate:
-Has front of the house restaurant experience, or experience working in a comparable fast-paced environment
-Has a love for hospitality and a genuine interest in interacting with guests and creating regulars
-Thrives in a high-volume environment, while working closely with their co-workers in a team-oriented atmosphere.
-Has a flexible schedule and is able to work early mornings and the occasional late night or weekend event.
-Adheres to all food safety and quality regulations
-Maintains a clean and organized work environment
-Has the ability to lift 50lbs and work at a quick pace
Bell Market is located in Bell Works, one of the most celebrated mid-century pieces of architecture in the country. Bell Market is a collection of five different eateries: Honeybell Bakery, an artisanal bakery and pastry shop; Bubz Deli, our ode to the New York City delicatessen; Broadfork Greens + Grains; Jozu, offering made-to-order hand rolls, sushi, robatayaki, and ramen; and Corbo & Sons, a wood-fired pizzeria The Food Hall offers dine-in and to-go options, as well as a comprehensive catering operation.
