Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable future!R&D Digitalization Data Architect (2001234) – Iselin, NJWhere the Chemistry HappensWe are seeking a professional like you to join our R&D Data Science team and provide BASF-wide data solutions for multiple application areas. This comprises materials sciences and materials development, process and quality control which are based on data analysis, data-based modeling and optimization.This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate that you are well-grounded in state-of-the-art software design, development techniques and relational database design. You will also get to share your creative and motivated working style and your ability to work in interdisciplinary, agile, and global teams. Experience in NoSQL databases and/or large-scale distributed systems (e.g. Hadoop) is advantageous in this role.Formula for Success

Leveraging your degree in natural sciences or your degree in computer science with a strong interest in natural sciences, combined with your experience in data structuring as a data architect and familiarity with applying your skills to research data, you will design and implement innovative ways to structure research data from a variety of data sources in modern databases. You will use these large data sets and reveal insights by analyzing and visualizing it with modern frameworks to become an integrated part of our research and development cycles.

Utilizing your strong focus on innovation, as well as your excellent communication skills, you will actively identify needs of researchers with a focus on catalysts and battery materials, define suitable technical solutions for them and realize their development.

Applying your proficiency with Python, you will analyze data and use data analytics techniques to get insights in our data treasures. Expertise with statistical data analysis is preferred.

Acting as an enabler in interdisciplinary project teams, you will communicate ideas and solutions of data architecture and big data technology to a broad community of researcher scientists and developers.
