Responsible forreviewing and preparing interpretation of financial data, financialprojections, and results. Performs consulting services to support businessstudies, economic evaluation, and planning functions. Builds queries and macrosto streamline processes. Can build database from scratch.
Primary duties mayinclude, but are not limited to:
Prepares complexpresentations.
Advises management ofvarious financial recommendations.
Identifies complexfinancial problems or issues related to workflow processes, researchessolutions, and implements corrective steps to achieve higher level ofoperational efficiency.
Analyzes data of pastand current operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues,administrative commitments, and obligations incurred.
Participates in variouscommittees or work groups to develop, implement, modify, and document new orrevised record keeping functions to current computerized accounting systemstechnology.
Trains and reviews thework of lower level Analysts.
May provide direction towork assignments of staff.
Develops system testcases and documents results.
Researches system issuesand documents findings.
Creates and develops newpolicies/procedures.
Can commit department todeliverables on own initiative.
Uses discretion inmaking independent decisions.
Requirements:
BS/BA in finance,accounting or business administration;
3-5 years’ experience ina finance/health insurance field capacity; prior experience with relationaldatabases, mainframe and client server report writers;
or any combination ofeducation and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred:
MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA orapplicable professional designation preferred.
