You will be based at the BASF Catalysts Global headquarters in Iselin, NJ, reporting to the CCM Business Unit Finance Manager. CCM is a worldwide leader in the field of precious metals management , offering industrial customers a comprehensive metals management services - from raw metals supply and scrap reclamation to trading, hedging, and financial risk management.You will be responsible to gather, analyze and report key financial and economic data for the global CCM Trading business, taking ownership of critical planning, reporting, forecasting, and review processes. You will drive reconciliations of precious metal activities to ensure accurate reporting, working closely with the traders and manufacturing sites. We will expect you to continuously identify and develop opportunities for improving business processes, especially through digitalization. You will contribute to projects and act as a business partner to the trading desk and operations team.Formula for Success

Leveraging your education in Finance, Accounting, Economics or in a technical, business, or quantitative methods discipline, you will generate accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting data - utilizing both bespoke systems and SAP.

Using your advanced Office skills (esp. Excel and PowerPoint), and any experience you may have with SAP and analytics tools such as Tableau, you will build effective reporting tools, conduct scenario analyses and provide state-of-the-art reports to the business’s senior management.

Contributing your entrepreneurial mindset and experience in financial analysis and economic evaluations, you will drive value-based controlling processes for the trading business.

Your strong communication and collaboration skills will serve you well as you engage across the global organization and with other functional and operational units in BASF.

Your technical skills and digital mindset will be essential as you drive and support digitalization initiatives, including the implementation of analytical steering tools (e.g. Tableau).

Demonstrating your highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, you will perform financial analyses and reconciliations for trading activities, support the needs of the business and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
